One third down…

It’s been a while since my last post, but I’m still trucking on the doing something creative every day front. I’ve mostly been crocheting, though I have done some prep work on some other projects. I’ve made a lot of progress on the afghan for my living room including adding a burgundy to the color palette:

I should start diagramming a layout for the squares soon. I want to do something like the Babbette Blanket but with fewer square sizes and with more solid color blocks.

I also made a lot of little creature things during a recent long meeting. The one I’m happiest with is a squid I made up as I went:

I’m planning to make more of these until I get the pattern refined to how I want it, but I like how this one turned out. The arms are wrapped pipe cleaners, but moving forward, I’ll probably figure out how I want to crochet them.

It’s the 11th, which means I’ve passed the 1/3 point for #CreateNovember. It’s a lot less stressful without the blog requirement, though waiting a week between posts is way too long. Here’s to the pursuit of happy mediums.
