Here’s a last minute little monster made out of craft felt. It has an LED eye, but I’ve misplaced the battery holder I use to test these things.

Starting week 2
I continued to work on the scarab linoleum block and did a test print on fabric.
One week down
I ended up working on the linoleum scarab that I started on Day 5. I had only planned to do the head, but I ended up doing a lot more of a first pass. My plan for this when it’s done is to print on fabric, so I’m going for graphic and bold. And that’s […]
Uneventful
Day 6 didn’t net anything worth showing. I continued to work on the psuedosphere on the train. I also picked up some books on dollmaking from the library.
Scarab ideas
Apparently, today was a day for scarab beetles. I spent more time thinking through ideas than making anything, which I’m fine with.
Jellies, revisited
For day 1, I did an eraser stamp of a jellyfish. One of the reasons I do stamp drawings on tracing paper even if no tracing is involved is that it’s easy to reuse a drawing for another stamp. When I finished the other jelly stamp, I realized that the same drawing would work for […]
Travels with pseudosphere
Today was the kind of busy where the only time I had to work on something for #CreateNovember was during my commute. I continued work on the new psuedosphere I started yesterday. Here’s a photo of it sitting next to me on the train.
Sunday Pseudospheres!
Today was a crochet day. I finished a pseudosphere I started about two weeks ago. I’ve been amusing myself by calling it a quasi-pseudosphere because I started it with a 20 chain ring rather than starting it correctly without the hole in the middle. It’s a full skein of yarn, crocheted with a G hook […]
#CreateNovember Day 1
One of the reasons I decided to do #CreateNovember is because I have a tendency to collect materials to use “one day.” An example of this is the box of plastic erasers that have been sitting on a bookshelf for a couple of years now. A favorite art supplies store was going out of business […]
Getting Started
I’ve been planning this blog for longer than I care to admit, and now I’m finally set up. The thing about blogs, though, is that once you have one, there’s still the issue of actually posting. As a way to move from thinking about what to post to actively blogging, I’m going to do one […]
